🚪 Check-In & Check-Out

Check-In & Check-Out, Handled Fairly and Automatically

Configurable grace periods, mid-stay guest changes, and a clear charge/don't-charge decision when someone checks out early — so billing always matches what actually happened.

How It Works

Billing That Matches What Actually Happened

⏱️

Configurable Grace Periods

Set a checkout grace period per branch, so a short delay past the official checkout time doesn't automatically trigger an extra charge.

⚖️

Charge or Don't Charge, Your Choice

When a guest checks out mid-stay, staff see the occupancy impact and decide whether to charge for today's slab before confirming.

🧮

Automatic Slab Boundary Calculation

Choosing "Don't Charge" sets the checkout time to the start of the current billing slab, so the guest is automatically excluded from it.

🔄

Mid-Stay Guest Changes

Add or remove guests mid-stay, or extend a stay — the invoice recalculates automatically from live occupancy data.

FAQ

Check-In & Check-Out Questions

What happens if a guest checks out a little after the official checkout time?
Grace periods are configurable per branch, so a short delay doesn't automatically trigger an extra day's charge.
Can staff decide whether to charge a guest who leaves mid-stay?
Yes. When a passenger checks out mid-stay, staff see the occupancy impact and choose "Charge Today" or "Don't Charge" before confirming.
If we choose not to charge a passenger for today, are they still counted in tonight's occupancy?
No. Their checkout time is set to the start of the current billing slab, so the grace-period logic automatically excludes them from that slab.
Does removing a guest mid-stay update the bill automatically?
Yes. The invoice recalculates automatically from live occupancy data — no manual re-billing needed.
